Website Design Canada and SEO in Canada

I’ve made several updates to my main “work” website, Website Design Canada.

The most major is my new theme! I have created a child theme using the Thematic WordPress Framework. I call the theme “tuxedo” (the original theme was in black and white and it looked sort of well… formal) and I’m also offering it for free download!

Secondly, I have added three free offers in order to gain more client leads and interaction, and to build up my portfolio of work. I hope with the SEO work that I’ve been doing and some other promotional work I will begin shortly, I’ll also begin to rank higher for the keyword phrase SEO in Canada.

If I can climb to page one for these terms, then it should just be a matter of tweaking my website to get the best possible conversion rate. In this way I intend to garner projects by way of these targeted leads. I’ve always believed in the power of organic search engine optimization – for many reasons. I’m now putting that to the test going up against as many as 150 other web pages for these terms!

I will chart my progress here.

New Updates to drewclifton.com

I have recently tuned up my professional services website drewclifton.com. It looks a little slicker and performs a little better. I’m still a WordPress Website Designer Canada, SEO in Canada, and web copywriting Canada.

I’m still using the awesome theme “ThreatToCreativity” by theme author Maxisnow, and even after a couple years I am still loving it. It took a bit of tweaking to make it the way I like it, but what theme doesn’t! Kudos Max. One day I may decide to go with (or design) a new theme, but for now I’m happy.

I also improved the payment options, making them more clear and taking a couple of things out.

Go have a look!

Simple Method: WordPress Training and Support

Just wanted to mention a neat project that I have been able to participate in called Simple Method. Simple Method provides premium WordPress Training and Support, and is a way for individuals and businesses to learn WordPress and get crucial support and guidance, as well as share their experiences with a community of like-minded people. They can benefit from an exclusive Facebook group, a forum and knowledgebase, as well as a helpful series of video tutorials.

Simple Method is also great for WordPress designers and design groups who want to farm out their support to a third party. They are creating a compelling affiliate program to allow designers to do what they love (design), without needing to offer advanced support for weeks months and years after a project is completed (many times they offer this support without any pay).
